About the role

Booker DiMaio is seeking an experienced Power Apps / Power Automate Developer to support a technology initiative with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This position will focus on designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining business applications and workflow automation using the Microsoft Power Platform, with an emphasis on Power Apps and Power Automate. The role will work closely with stakeholders and other technical team members to develop solutions that improve business processes, automate workflows, and integrate information across Microsoft 365 and enterprise data environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Develop both canvas and model-driven applications and integrate them with Dataverse, SharePoint, and other data sources.
  • Design and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate.
  • Translate business requirements into effective Power Platform applications and workflow solutions.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online and other enterprise systems.
  • Implement appropriate security, permissions, and role-based access controls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and workflow issues.
  • Support testing, deployment, documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Power Platform solutions.
  • Ensure applications and workflows follow applicable governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project leadership, Power BI developers, SharePoint/Microsoft 365 personnel, and data specialists.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Microsoft Power Apps experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining Power Apps applications.
  • Experience developing canvas and/or model-driven Power Apps.
  • Strong experience with Power Automate and workflow automation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online.
  • Experience with application security, permissions, and role-based access.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting Power Platform applications in a production environment.
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Federal government experience.
  • Experience supporting the IRS or Department of the Treasury.
  • Experience with Power Platform governance and enterprise best practices.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online administration or development.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with enterprise data warehouse environments.
  • Experience working in environments subject to federal security, governance, and compliance requirements.
