About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Powdercoat Technician, 1st.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials on the powder coat line
  • Operate the powder coat booth
  • Apply powder to parts according to customer specifications
  • Ensure finished products meet quality and production standards through inspection, accurate setup, and consistent process execution
  • Support a safe, engaged, and inclusive workplace by following all safety policies, properly using personal protective equipment, operating equipment correctly, and performing 5S duties
  • Load, unload, set up, and operate the powder coat line using travel documents, blueprints, and verbal or written instructions
  • Maintain expected workflow and production progress within the assigned area and communicate issues as needed
  • Perform quality checks including visual inspections, measuring parts with tape measures and/or calipers, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and complete root cause analysis related to quality or production issues
  • Cross-train and provide coverage for other job functions when required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Basic Qualifications: willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require, strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams or drawings, or operating instructions, experience using measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers, experience with Eaton systems, including DMM and AS400

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling
  • Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation
  • Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust while performing job duties
