Key Responsibilities
- Follow schedule of production assignment.
- Read production schedules to determine setups of equipment and machines.
- Properly complete packing with identify of items (part number, quantity, shift, operator, date).
- Properly complete schedule and manufacturing reconciliation.
- Visually check part to ensure quality specifications are met regarding paint coverage.
- Touch up and/or repair finished parts as needed.
- Maintain all necessary equipment and tools.
- Set up, operate, or tend plating or coating machines to coat metal or plastic products with chromium, zinc, copper, cadmium, nickel, or other metal to protect or decorate surfaces.
- Adjust paint flows and powder spray guns for optimal coverage with correct amount of powder spray.
- Observe gauges to ensure that machines are operating properly, making adjustments or stopping machines when problems occur.
- Test machinery to ensure that it is operating properly.
- Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance repairs on powder coating equipment.
- Meet safety, production and quality metrics.
- Maintain production records.
- Fill out and maintain quality records, labor reports showing parts produced and scrap generated.
- Ensure work area is clean, secure and well maintained, clean machines, related equipment, and work areas, using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.
- Perform other duties as, when and where assigned.
Qualifications, Experience required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3 years of powder coating experience with troubleshooting knowledge.
- English fluency.

- Detailed and hands-on oriented.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, lifting, carrying, reaching.
- Working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods.
- Encountering some dirt, grease, and oil in the course of routine job duties.
- Experiencing some fumes and smoke but not continuously.
- Subjected to noise from machines which may require hearing protection.
Equipment Use
- Basic mechanical tools.
- Telephone.
- Computer.
- Occasionally change filters.
- Occasionally operate counterweight forklift.
