Responsibilities
- Apply powder with manual powder gun application
- Troubleshoot skills of powder application
- Perform color changes on automatic powder application equipment
- Follow direction of powder room coordinator
- Perform tasks of a Tech 3 role
- Perform preventative maintenance as required on the line
- Report any issues affecting quality
- Mark defective products
- Work overtime as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude to take orders and execute them efficiently
- Knowledge of basic print reading and torque values
- Two years experience with powder application, or relevant promotion within the department
- Basic computer knowledge
- High school degree, diploma, or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation, and ability to multitask
- Ability to help in all areas of the paint department when needed
- Previous experience working within a highly technical environment
- Strong basic math skills
- Previous experience working within a powder coat department
- Previous paint application experience
- Take any quality concerns seriously and act immediately
- General understanding of metric and standard systems
