Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow

Job Summary

The Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow supports Dr. Michelle Snyder's research program on host-pathogen interactions and innate immunity, using various model organisms.

Responsibilities

• Carry out independent research contributing to the PI’s NIH grant (design, conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments).
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate student researchers.
• Contribute to manuscript and proposal writing.
• Manage lab equipment, supplies, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Participate in lab meetings, seminars, and professional training opportunities.
• Present research results at local and national meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

• A Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or a related field, with three years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in common cell and molecular biology experimental methodologies.
• Experience working with undergraduate or graduate students.
• Preferred expertise in Microbiology and/or Immunology.
• Candidates should be enthusiastic about mentoring students with diverse backgrounds.

Salary and Benefits
