Postdoctoral Scientist - Hearing Gene Therapy & Cochlear Research

About the role

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Surgery Chair within the Otolaryngology department, focusing on cochlear gene therapy research.

Responsibilities

• Engineer AAV vectors for targeted cochlear gene delivery and develop innovative genetic cargo for hearing loss treatment.
• Perform cochlear surgeries, therapeutic delivery, and auditory testing such as ABR and DPOAE.
• Conduct hands-on animal research using mouse models.
• Collaborate with the team and receive mentorship in the research process.

Requirements

• Strong background in molecular biology, gene therapy, or related fields.
• Experience with animal models, particularly mice, and surgical techniques.
• Proficiency in auditory testing methods.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
