About the role
The Thermoregulatory and Microvascular Physiology Lab at Penn State University is seeking two postdoctoral scholars with expertise in human physiological research.
Responsibilities
- Managing and writing Institutional Review Board Human Study requirements
- Aiding in study design and protocol modifications
- Overseeing and leading studies, coordinating with study participants
- Organizing and managing databases, data entry, and analyses
- Maintaining day-to-day study visits with participants
- Drafting scientific manuscripts
- Supervising and working with graduate and undergraduate students
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Kinesiology, Physiology, or a related field
- Experience in thermal physiology
- Track record of successful research related to human thermoregulation
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and collegial teamwork
Qualifications
- Completed all Ph.D. degree requirements by the appointment date
- Successfully published associated manuscripts
Skills
Strong background in human physiological research, including managing IRB requirements, assisting in study design, overseeing studies, managing data, and communicating effectively.
