Postdoctoral Scholar - Quantum Computing - Mathematics & Statistics department

Position Summary

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of South Florida invites applications for a 12-month, full-time, Postdoctoral Fellow position beginning on or before August 7, 2026.

Responsibilities

• This position carries a one-year appointment and may be renewed for an additional two years depending on satisfactory performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, computer science, or a related field. ABD candidates are accepted, but the degree must be conferred before the intended start date. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.
• Preferred Qualifications: An established record of publications in applied algebra, in particular in quantum computing.
