About the role
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of passive seismic imaging techniques to study tectonic processes and earthquake hazards in the western United States. Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced seismic imaging methods to analyze passive seismic data.
- Collaborate with other researchers on interdisciplinary projects related to geophysics and seismology.
- Contribute to the interpretation and publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in fieldwork and laboratory experiments as needed.
Requirements
- A PhD in Geophysics, Seismology, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field.
- Experience with seismic data processing and inversion techniques.
- Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of seismic wave propagation and reflection/refraction theory.
