Job Summary
The Chen Wang Research Group is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and ambitious Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead a project at the intersection of additive manufacturing, polymer chemistry, and materials science. The successful candidate will lead the optimization of this printing platform, characterize the fundamental reaction kinetics, and validate its translation into high-impact energy and medical applications.Responsibilities
- Lead the optimization of vat photopolymerization 3D printing (SLA/DLP) platforms
- Characterize the fundamental reaction kinetics of custom resins
- Validate the printing platform’s translation into high-impact energy and medical applications
- Hands-on expertise in vat photopolymerization 3D printing (SLA/DLP)
- Custom resin formulation
- Nanoscale characterization techniques such as SEM
- Deep understanding of polymer chemistry—specifically photopolymerization kinetics, polymerization-induced phase separation (PIPS), or dynamic covalent chemistry
- Experience in 3D printer customization, software/hardware integration, and CAD modeling skills
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong track record of first-author publications
