Postdoctoral Researcher
About the role
The Marylanders Online team is seeking a postdoctoral researcher starting in January 2024, focused broadly on issues of digital equity and digital literacy. The postdoctoral researcher will work on a state-funded project, Marylanders Online, which is a collaborative project between the University of Maryland Extension (UME) and College of Information Studies (INFO).
Responsibilities
- Design studies
- Collect and analyze data
- Implement research-based solutions to sustainably educate Marylanders in digital literacy skills for work, learning, and essential everyday needs.
Requirements
PhD in a relevant field such as Information Science, Education, Computer Science, or related fields. Experience in digital equity and digital literacy research, and familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods are required.
Qualifications
Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in data analysis tools.
