About the role

The Faculty of Technology at Linnaeus University is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sustainable Built Environment with specialization in Climate impact of forest products. Deadline 14 December 2022.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct research on lifespan of furniture and its implication for climate change mitigation
  • Conduct literature review to define the lifespan of forest products and the underlying factors affecting the lifespan
  • Conduct empirical studies (e.g. surveys and interviews) to collect primary data on lifespan of specific products in use in Swedish market
  • Collect data on users' perception and behavior towards the five stages of waste management hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle, recover, and dispose)
  • Conduct lifecycle analysis of the specific products considering the complete chain from forest to end of life of the product

Employment

Full-time employment for three years in Växjö.
