Main responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the lifespan of furniture and its implications for climate change mitigation.
  • Conduct literature review to define the lifespan of forest products and the underlying factors affecting the lifespan.
  • Conduct empirical studies (e.g. surveys and interviews) to collect primary data on the lifespan of specific products in use in the Swedish market.
  • Collect data on users' perception and behavior towards the five stages of waste management hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle, recover, and dispose).
  • Conduct lifecycle analysis of the specific products considering the complete chain from forest to end of life of the product.

About the role

The postdoctoral research fellow will be employed full-time for three years in Växjö.

  • PhD in Sustainable Built Environment or related field.
  • Experience in conducting research on the lifespan of forest products and waste management.
  • Strong background in statistics and data analysis.
