Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Bio-Medical Sciences Department
About the role
We are offering a POSTDOC research opportunity to explore the mechanisms of cell signaling and metabolic alterations in cancer. Our research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms determining tumor cell proliferation and survival in response to aberrant signaling pathway activity, using approaches described in publications such as PMID 32156782, PMID 32291414, PMID 38937602, and PMID 39392755. We also strive to translate our findings into novel therapeutic strategies, as outlined in PMID 38378752. Current projects investigate mitochondrial stress and its impact on tumor cell metabolism, with the goal of advancing therapeutic strategies. Postdoctoral research projects will stem from these findings.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct research experiments, including molecular and cellular biology and preclinical studies.
- Demonstrate proficient problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Summarize research findings, present data at national meetings, and prepare manuscripts.
- Communicate and work effectively with other team members.
Requirements
- Prior experience in cell signaling, metabolism, molecular/cellular biology, and biochemistry techniques.
- Experience with cancer cell biology studies using cell lines, murine xenograft models, and omics approaches is desirable.
