Job Summary
The Electrochemical Dynamics Lab (Principal Investigator: Dr. Wesley Chang) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
About the role
The position involves designing and building a unique characterization platform for electrolyzers, mentoring graduate students, writing technical papers, and participating in weekly meetings. The position is grant-funded and employment is contingent upon the continued availability of funding.
Responsibilities
- Design and build unique characterization platform to track gas bubbles in electrolyzers.
- Mentor graduate students.
- Write technical papers.
- Participate in weekly meetings.
- Help write proposals.
Requirements
- Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with electrolyzers, gas diffusion electrodes, and infrared lasers is preferred.
Skills
- Experience with optics and laser setups.
Benefits
The position is classified as Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $60,240.00 - $90,350.00 per year.
Pay
The offered rate for this position will vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
