Postdoctoral Research Associate, Okeke Lab, Neuroimmunology

Responsibilities

• Assist with initiating, executing, and completing independent research of interdisciplinary nature involving immunology, molecular biology and neuroscience.
• Prepare and write research papers, presentations, grant proposals, etc.
• Aid in laboratory management and training of graduate students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Neuroscience, Immunology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biology or a related field.
• Strong background in rodent behavioral testing, CNS analysis, including histology of brain sections, stereotaxic injections, human cerebral organoid models, use of iPSCs and immunology techniques like flow cytometry.
• Experience with rodent CNS surgery, including vagus nerve stimulation, is an asset.
• Highly motivated and creative, with excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated research productivity with first-author publications.
