Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and execute research projects investigating epidemiology, chronic disease prevention, and outcomes related to variation in the burden of disease in population subgroups.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of clinicians, statisticians, and public health researchers.
- Mentor graduate students and research assistants.
- Author manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications and present findings at scientific conferences.
- Contribute to grant writing and funding applications.
- Lead grant submissions, such as supplements, pilot awards, and career development awards.
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of statistical software (R, SAS, or STATA).
- Skilled in scientific writing and communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Data analysis, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Promotion, or related field.
- Research experience and background in epidemiological methods, statistical analysis.
- Must have first authored peer-reviewed original publications.
- Prior experience in conducting data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience with large datasets management and analysis.
