Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze multi-stage experiments using animal models and human islets.
- Record, organize, and present data at lab meetings and conferences.
- Write manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
- Prepare posters and talks for local, regional, and national meetings.
- Contribute to grant proposals and career development grants.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in lab techniques and research projects.
- Engage in collaborative research projects with other lab members.
Required Qualifications
- PhD and/or MD in a science-related field by start date.
- 0–5 years of postdoctoral-level experience.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the PI.
- Willingness to work with animal models and human islets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in islet biology or diabetes research.
- Background in metabolism, genetics, developmental biology, or related disciplines.
- Experience with mouse models.
- Strong candidates for extramural postdoctoral fellowships are preferred.
Employment Details
- Full-time, 40 hours/week (FTE 1.0)
