Clemson University is seeking a Forestry and Environmental Conservation Specialist to join the Department within the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences.

About the role

The successful candidate will contribute to the academic mission of Clemson University by engaging in research, teaching, and service activities related to forestry and environmental conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on forest ecology, wildlife management, and sustainable land use practices.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in forestry, environmental science, and related fields.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders to enhance educational and research opportunities.
  • Participate in professional development activities and attend conferences to stay current with advancements in the field.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
  • Experience in conducting research and teaching at the university level.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for environmental conservation and commitment to sustainability.

Skills

  • Proficiency in GIS and remote sensing technologies.
