Postdoctoral Research Associate - Application-driven Composable Distributed Storage

About the role

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of application-driven composable distributed storage systems, focusing on enhancing data management and retrieval efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new algorithms for efficient data placement and retrieval in distributed storage systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate storage solutions into existing applications.
• Contribute to the design and testing of composable storage architectures that can adapt to changing application needs.
• Write technical reports and present findings at internal and external conferences.

Requirements

• A PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with distributed systems, storage technologies, and data management.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed computing principles and experience with big data technologies.
• Experience with cloud storage services and containerization technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
