Postdoctoral Fellow (X. Wang)

Principal Functional Responsibilities

• Covers independent and collaborative research activities, including designing, conducting, and analyzing scientific experiments.
• Presents research findings and maintains knowledge of current scientific literature.
• Maintains laboratory cleanliness and safety and oversees regulatory compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• PhD (in related field) or MD degree with sufficient research training.
• Strong skills in animal experimentation.
• Experience in mass spectrometry-based analysis is preferred.

Department Specific Information

• Conduct independent and team-based research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.
• Design and execute experiments, develop and optimize experimental systems, collect and analyze data, and prepare manuscripts for publication.
• Prepare and deliver presentations of research findings at group meetings, institutional seminars, and scientific conferences.
• Contribute to grant writing and manuscript preparation.
• Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations, including protocols related to animal research.
• Assist in training and mentoring graduate students, undergraduate students, and research staff in experimental techniques and laboratory procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with animal studies, such as transgenic mice (required for strong consideration).
• Expertise in mass spectrometry-based analysis.
• Background in pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism.
• Experience in omics research (e.g., metabolomics, proteomics, or related fields).
