Postdoctoral Fellow, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, UMKC School of Dentistry
Responsibilities
- Utilize multiscale imaging techniques to investigate the structure-property relationships at the biomaterial-dental tissue interface.
- Design and conduct experimental and molecular studies to assess the efficacy of emerging biomaterials in oral environments and uncover the mechanisms governing their biological and functional performance.
- Mentor junior researchers in the laboratory.
- Assist with secondary projects relevant to the research goals of the lab.
- Present research findings in both written and oral formats.
- Aid the Principal Investigator in the preparation of proposals, reports, and presentations.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biomaterials, Biomedical Engineering, Dentistry, or a related field.
- Experience in dental materials research is preferred.
- Experience with microbiology and oral biofilm research is desirable.
- Experience in cell culture and tissue engineering is a plus.
- Strong communication and scientific writing skills.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
