The laboratory investigates the mechanisms underlying metabolic bone diseases and periodontal disease, with particular interest in oral-systemic interactions and the impact of periodontitis on systemic diseases.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on metabolic bone diseases
- Study periodontal inflammation and alveolar bone loss
- Investigate the effects of periodontitis on systemic diseases
Requirements
- Hold a doctoral or terminal degree
- Strong background in dentistry, oral biology, or a closely related field
- DDS/DMD training or equivalent dental training is strongly preferred
- Proficient in micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) imaging and analysis
- Experience performing mouse surgery is preferred
- Demonstrated publication record
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and writing skills
Qualifications
