The laboratory investigates the mechanisms underlying metabolic bone diseases and periodontal disease, with particular interest in oral-systemic interactions and the impact of periodontitis on systemic diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on metabolic bone diseases
  • Study periodontal inflammation and alveolar bone loss
  • Investigate the effects of periodontitis on systemic diseases

Requirements

  • Hold a doctoral or terminal degree
  • Strong background in dentistry, oral biology, or a closely related field
  • DDS/DMD training or equivalent dental training is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) imaging and analysis
  • Experience performing mouse surgery is preferred
  • Demonstrated publication record
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and writing skills
