Postdoctoral Fellow in Cardiovascular Disease and Cancer

About the role

The Ky lab is a National Institutes of Health-, American Heart Association-, and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute-funded internationally recognized program focusing on cardiovascular health of patients with and beyond cancer through clinical science.

Responsibilities

• Use large datasets comprising biomarker, echocardiography, genomic, clinical, social determinants of health and other "-omic" data to understand individual patient risk.
• Design and execute epidemiologic studies and develop analytic plans with close mentorship.
• Work independently and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary and diverse team.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.D. with strong experience in epidemiology, data science, and computational and data analysis.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary and diverse team.

Qualifications

• Expertise in biomarkers, genomics, and imaging.
• A demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary and diverse team is important.

Skills

• Strong background in epidemiology, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, risk prediction, and manipulation of large datasets.
