Responsibilities
- Actively involved in the design and execution of complex experimental studies in accordance with project goals and within a specified timeframe.
- Responsible for maintaining detailed project documentation and laboratory notebooks.
- Performs laboratory research utilizing specialized experimental protocols.
- Collections and handles samples and keeps detailed records of experiments.
- Manage and analyze complex human and mouse datasets.
- Assists with the preparation of data for presentations at scientific meetings and for publication in journals.
- Present research findings at major scientific conferences.
- Contribute to a collaborative lab environment and mentor junior researchers.
- Investigate the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories to potential inventions and products.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Genetics or Developmental Biology preferred.
- Minimum of 0-5 years of Postdoctoral experience required.
- Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Knowledge of appropriate scientific area;
- Ability to analyze and interpret data;
- Strong publication record, including first-author publications in relevant, peer-reviewed journals that demonstrate expertise in the field;
- Hands-on experience with embryonic or induced pluripotent stem cell culture and cell line engineering;
- Hands-on experience with organoid research and tissue engineering;
- Advances proficiency in cellular and molecular techniques as applied to testes and ovaries, including histology, immunofluorescence, advanced confocal microscopy, western blotting, and DNA/RNA-related analyses;
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust Background Check.
Preferred Skills
- Perfusion bioreactors.
- Bioprinting.
- Tissue engineering.
- Human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC) culture, differentiation and genetic editing.
- Bioinformatics skills for analyzing ‘omics’ datasets.
