Postdoctoral Fellow - Genetics
About the role
The Yun Laboratory in the Department of Genetics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a creative, independent, and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our team and pursue research projects related to diet, colorectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Responsibilities
- Execute and complete research projects independently and productively
- Develop creative research questions and lead research projects
- Design rigorous experiments and analyze and interpret data
- Apply computational and statistical skills when appropriate
- Contribute intellectually to the direction of the project
Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in a relevant field
- Strong record of high-impact, first-author publications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Research experience in immunology, the tumor microenvironment, or cancer metabolism preferred
- Basic computational skills (e.g., R or Python) to independently analyze omics data such as RNA-seq, microbiome, and scRNA-seq preferred

- Strong work ethic and collaborative, collegial, flexible, and willing to contribute to a supportive and productive laboratory environment
