About the role

The Post Doctoral Psychology Fellow at Soar Autism Center is part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to supporting young children with autism and their families. The role offers intensive training in autism evaluation for early childhood, focusing on differential diagnosis, consultation, and program development and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting ~4-5 diagnostic evaluations per week using standardized assessments for autism and differential diagnosis (ADOS-2, Developmental Profile (DP-4), BASC-3, etc.)
  • Formulating diagnostic conclusions and treatment recommendations
  • Communicating results thoroughly with families
  • Providing high quality and efficient services, including quality reports and documentation
  • Participate in required supervision and offered trainings
  • Opportunities may include offering post-diagnosis processing groups for families, research projects, and/or community outreach

Qualifications

  • Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA accredited university
  • Completed, or in the process of completing, an APA approved clinical internship
  • Experience in the evaluation of Autism Spectrum Disorder in children 0-5 years-old
  • Experience in differential diagnosis in the context of autism evaluations
  • Understanding of effective treatment methods for autism
  • Ability to pass a background check and are qualified to work in the United States
  • Strong communication and consultation skills

Location

We are seeking candidates in the Denver region. We currently have multiple locations in the region and specific location may vary depending on where the direct supervisor is located. Flexibility to work from home on report writing or other non-direct tasks is available.
