Postdoctoral Fellow
About the role
The Wherry lab in the Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join a CRI-funded research project. This position is part of a larger CRI Initiative aimed at establishing a data resource to enable data-driven innovation in immunotherapy and bridge the translational gap between preclinical models and clinical trials. The Immunotherapy Atlas will incorporate comprehensive immune landscapes across commonly used mouse models, as well as how these landscapes change under immunotherapy perturbations.
The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to building this resource and use it to address data-driven hypotheses. The role involves leading this project in the Wherry lab and integrating similar data across two additional CRI-Immunotherapy Atlas labs. Experimental approaches will include flow cytometry, single-cell RNA (and TCR) sequencing, proteomics, and spatial analysis of the tumor-immune microenvironment.

Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment of the Immunotherapy Atlas data resource in the Wherry lab.
- Integrate data across multiple CRI-Immunotherapy Atlas labs.
- Perform experimental work using flow cytometry, scRNA (+TCR)-seq, proteomics, and spatial analysis to study the tumor-immune microenvironment.
- Analyze large datasets to generate and test data-driven hypotheses.
- Collaborate with team members and external partners.
Requirements
- PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree.
- Experience in immunology and/or cancer biology.
- Strong record of productivity in research.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
