Postdoctoral Associate in Time-Domain Astrophysics
Postdoctoral Associate position in observational/computational time-domain astrophysics, including supernovae, gravitational-wave events, fast radio bursts, and tidal disruption events, to work with Dr. Daichi Hiramatsu in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Florida. The position begins in Fall 2026 and is renewable annually for up to three years based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.

- UF telescope access (e.g., 10.4m Gran Telescopio Canarias)
- HiPerGator supercomputer
- Membership in the Global Supernova Project (a Key Project at Las Cumbres Observatory with a global telescope network)
Ability to connect with other researchers in the department as well as campus-wide will also be considered positively.
Requirements
- PhD in Astronomy, Physics, or a related field (must be completed by the date of appointment)
