Postdoctoral Associate, Chung Lab

About the role

The POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Chung Lab, Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, will generate spatial transcriptomic and proteomic optical imaging data of human and non-human primate brains using the novel technology pipeline established by the Chung Lab.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct experiments and optimize various protocols to ensure successful and consistent results.
• Work closely with the collaborating teams across the Center for Multi-scale Multi-Omic Human and Non-human Primate Atlas to conduct necessary protocol validation experiments.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, biology, chemistry, or related scientific field.
• A minimum of five years of experience working in a large research laboratory.
• Strong technical and scientific writing skills.
• Experience with research/grant proposal development, writing and editing publications in reputable journals.
• Supervisory experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a diverse team of graduate students, postdocs, research staff, and the ability to promote collaboration and cooperation among teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Time management and planning skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong computer experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with or willingness to learn new laboratory management software.
