About the role
The POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Chung Lab, Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, will generate spatial transcriptomic and proteomic optical imaging data of human and non-human primate brains using the novel technology pipeline established by the Chung Lab.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct experiments and optimize various protocols to ensure successful and consistent results.
- Work closely with the collaborating teams across the Center for Multi-scale Multi-Omic Human and Non-human Primate Atlas to conduct necessary protocol validation experiments.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, biology, chemistry, or related scientific field.
- A minimum of five years of experience working in a large research laboratory.
- Strong technical and scientific writing skills.
- Experience with research/grant proposal development, writing and editing publications in reputable journals.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a diverse team of graduate students, postdocs, research staff, and the ability to promote collaboration and cooperation among teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Time management and planning skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong computer experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with or willingness to learn new laboratory management software.
