About the role
The University of Georgia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Postdoctoral Researcher to join a dynamic nutritional neuroscience research lab focused on understanding the molecular, cellular, and behavioral mechanisms of how nutrition impacts brain function and how the brain regulates eating behavior.
Responsibilities
- Share discoveries through writing publications and presenting at scientific meetings
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy
- Analyze data and maintain accurate and detailed experimental records and data logs
- Design and conduct experiments involving rodent models, including behavioral testing, surgical procedures, and tissue collection
- Participate in lab meetings and contribute to discussions on experimental design and data interpretation

Qualifications
- PhD in neuroscience, nutrition, biology, psychology, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Laboratory experience with proficiency in at least one or more of the following: RT qPCR, immunohistochemistry, fiber photometry, proteomics or metabolomics, immunoblotting, in situ hybridization, rodent behavioral research
