About the role
The Sarantopoulos Lab at Duke University School of Medicine is seeking a B-cell enthusiast. We are using primary patient samples and mouse models to understand the role of B cells in anti-leukemia/tumor responses.
Responsibilities
- Use primary patient samples and mouse models to study B cells in anti-leukemia/tumor responses
- Contribute to ongoing research projects focusing on B cell fate, function, and dysfunction after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (SCT)
- Identify potential anti-tumor B cell activity in patients who have undergone SCT
- Study BCR-activated B cells in chronic GVHD and their clinical implications
- Perform flow cytometry and cell-based assays to investigate B-T cell interactions
Requirements
- Recent PhD in immunology or PhD in other discipline with significant immunology training
- Strong interest in B cell biology
Qualifications
- PhD in immunology or related field
- Experience with flow cytometry and cell-based assays
- Interest in B cell signaling, B cell activation, and B-T cell interaction
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
