About the role
The Biddinger Lab is seeking a basic biologist to apply expertise to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Responsibilities
- Conducting research using techniques such as Crispr screening, single nuclei sequencing, ChIP sequencing, mouse models, organoids, and stable isotope tracing.
- Contributing to the understanding of NAFLD through innovative approaches and creative problem-solving.
- Collaborating with other lab members to develop and implement new experimental strategies.
Requirements
- PhD in biological science or computation biology or related fields.
- Excellent references.
- Strong evidence of past productivity.
- Desire to solve hard problems and bring new perspectives to the field.
- Experience in cell and molecular biology, microscopy, or computational biology is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
While prior experience with NAFLD is not necessary, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in the field and a willingness to learn and adapt to new methodologies.
Skills
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant technologies and techniques.
