About the role

As the Post Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the team operates according to Standard Operating Procedures and maintains a professional and controlled environment. This is accomplished by ensuring necessary equipment, facilities and staff are fully trained and adhere to the associated quality systems and Good Manufacturing Practice. This position is also responsible for personnel related matters including scheduling, daily assignments and performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Appropriately allocate manpower resources to ensure the proper and timely execution of both scheduled and unscheduled production needs (i.e. labeling) on a daily basis.
  • Approve electronic time keeping and PTO requests for records.
  • Cooky navigation/link to department leads and trainers to identify growth opportunities to improve individual and team performance.
  • Assign team members as needed to accomplish tasks outside of labeling and automated labeling as needed.
  • Cooky navigation/link to coordinate with technical team on special projects identified as possible improvements in physical or system processes.
  • Communicate directives and initiatives from management to production technicians on assigned shift.
  • Monitor and improve workflow, to include process change development and implementation, as well as Monitor and observe all inspection and packaging functions using the approved operating procedures and batch records.
  • Actively participate in the evaluation of staff in the performance of all work-related activities; participate in the review process for all assigned shift production technicians.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a leadership position (i.e., Shift of Line Leader, Group Leader, etc) or demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Good working knowledge of all functional areas of the labeling and packaging area.
  • Solid math and effective problem-solving skills with demonstrated use of sound judgement.
  • Good communication and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and lead a team.

  • Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
