Post Production Specialist (Hybrid)
Our client is looking for a Post Production Specialist to support creative and production teams throughout the post-production process. This role partners closely with producers, editors, and asset management teams to maintain efficient workflows, ensure media is well-organized, and elevate the quality of video content across a variety of projects. This is a true post production role and not a video editor. The ideal candidate brings a strong editorial eye, thrives in fast-paced environments, and enjoys both the creative and operational aspects of post-production.
Must be willing to come to the client's office 1-3 days per week in downtown Chicago. This role will start part-time (20 ± hr/week) but will ramp up to 40 hrs/week in an ongoing capacity.
Responsibilities
- Supporting edit development by building B-roll string-outs, assembling cutdowns, and curating shot selections
- Managing media intake by ingesting, organizing, and archiving footage from shoots
- Preparing screeners by syncing audio and video, tagging content, and exporting review-ready files
- Reviewing raw footage to identify strong visuals, usable content, and storytelling opportunities
- Maintaining organized media libraries through detailed logging, naming conventions, and keyword tagging
- Assisting producers and editors in locating assets and assembling materials for a range of video projects
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with hands-on post-production, editing, or media management experience
- Collaborative, proactive mindset with a reputation as a reliable team player
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Frame.io
- Experience working under tight deadlines with the ability to quickly evaluate and select visuals
- Ability to manage large volumes of media while supporting active production workflows
- Willingness to work onsite regularly and be available for time-sensitive project needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in editing with a solid understanding of post-production workflows and shot selection
- General familiarity with video production and enthusiasm for supporting creative teams
- Experience with After Effects is a plus
