About the role
We are seeking to engage with ambitious, highly motivated postdoctoral researchers in neural engineering who are interested in pursuing competitive fellowships to join us at Trinity College Dublin. Our clinical focus is on movement disorders, specifically dystonia.
Responsibilities
- Work within a highly interdisciplinary environment, closely integrated with clinical partners.
- Contribute to research that delivers measurable impact in real-world healthcare settings.
- Develop competitive applications to major national and international funding schemes.
- Contribute to the advancement of innovative, patient-centred solutions in clinical neural engineering.
Requirements
- A strong track record in translational neural engineering, spanning areas such as electrophysiological signal processing, neurotechnology development, and clinically grounded AI.
- Experience in working with clinical partners and contributing to research that impacts real-world healthcare settings.
- Ability to develop and submit successful grant proposals to major funding bodies.
Qualifications
- PhD in Neural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong publication record in translational neural engineering.
- Experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration with clinical partners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Expertise in electrophysiological signal processing.
- Knowledge of neurotechnology development.
- Experience in clinically grounded AI.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position is €40,000 - €50,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
