About the role

Post-Doctoral Researcher to pursue specialized research training, education and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor. Primary activities include submission of grant applications and subsequent planning, design, and execution of clinical trials. The position involves collection and analysis of data for research sponsored by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and other agencies, as well as assistance with ongoing clinical projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and select research problems to be studied and design research studies to address these problems.
• Attend research seminars and contribute to manuscript preparation and technical writing.
• Participate in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline is required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
• Experience in human clinical trials, grant writing, data collection, and manuscript preparation is strongly preferred.
• Scientific publication record desired.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
