Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Chemistry is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Postdoctoral Researcher to join a multidisciplinary research team. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative research at the intersection of native top-down proteomics, structural biology, and estrogen receptor biology.
About the role
The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct independent and collaborative research focused on advancing the understanding of protein structure, function, interactions, and regulation. The position involves applying advanced proteomic and structural biology approaches to investigate estrogen receptor biology and related molecular mechanisms. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible postdoctoral appointment with opportunities to work in a collaborative research environment and develop expertise in proteomics, structural biology, and estrogen receptor research. The position is contingent upon the availability of funding and may be renewed based on performance, research needs, and continued funding availability.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with faculty, research scientists, students, and collaborators
- Design and execute experiments
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets
- Disseminate research findings through publications and presentations
- Contribute to future research projects and funding proposals
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry or Biology
- Experience applying advanced proteomic and structural biology approaches to investigate estrogen receptor biology and related molecular mechanisms
Pay
$58,000 - $60,000 per year
