Job Description Summary As a GE Vernova accelerator, GE Vernova Advanced Research is driving strategy and leading research & development efforts to execute on the business’s mission to power the energy transition. As a Post Doctoral Researcher in AI team, you will work with GE Vernova Advanced Research, GEV Business, and external customers to build and execute strategic research and development programs focused in AI and Machine Learning for energy ecosystem. You will design, develop, and apply innovative AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and foundation models, to tackle complex challenges in the energy sector. Your work will span the entire research spectrum, from fundamental theoretical and empirical investigations to prototyping and solution development. You will have the opportunity to define and work on diverse projects, including power generation, renewable energy, electric grids, robotics, and manufacturing, in collaboration with GE Vernova's business units and a broad network of Researchers across disciplines and domains. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Work with teams of researchers on new and continuing projects Develop software solutions for the application of Machine Learning to medical and industrial dataImplement and analyze prototypes and solutions for real-world problemsEmploy software libraries, tools, and practices to implement efficient, scalable, and reusable solutionsCreate intellectual property by writing invention disclosures and filing patents Qualifications/Requirements Master's degree with minimum 2 years' experience or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with a focus on Machine Learning and/or Artificial IntelligenceExperience in one or more of these R&D topics: (a) Training domain-specific large language models (LLM), (b) Development of time-series or multi-modal foundation models, and (c) Building and leveraging knowledge graphs for reasoning and memory.Demonstrated ability to write Python codeCandidate must be willing to travel a minimum of 2 weeks per year Must have work authorization for the US. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
