About the role

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a Post Doctoral Psychology Resident to join our team. UCCS is dedicated to academic excellence, research, and community engagement, located in the picturesque city of Colorado Springs, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy (individual, couple/family, group) and other forms of psychological support to UCCS students.
  • Provide clinical supervision to WCMHS (Wellness Center Mental Health Services) trainees.
  • Carry out risk assessments and crisis interventions in person and provide consultation opportunities for other campus units and individuals.
  • Assist in the operations of the WCMHS, attend staff meetings, and contribute to campus-wide education and prevention programs.
  • Assist in addressing the developmental needs of the campus and support community projects.

Requirements

  • Active Doctoral degree in psychology.
  • Experience working in a college or university counseling center.
  • Experience supervising mental health trainees (preferred).
  • Training and experience with psychological and neuropsychological assessments (preferred).
  • Experience with the assessment and treatment of addictions and eating disorders (highly qualified applicants only).

Qualifications

  • Must have an active Doctoral degree in psychology.
  • Experience working in a college or university counseling center.
  • Experience supervising mental health trainees is preferred.
  • Training and experience with psychological and neuropsychological assessments is preferred.
  • Experience with the assessment and treatment of addictions and eating disorders is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$45,636.00 - $58,885.00 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
