Post Doctoral Fellow (Part-Time) - Civil Engineering

About the Role

This position involves developing and applying specialized knowledge in a specific area, with an emphasis on cross-disciplinary skills and leadership development. The role includes overseeing projects, evaluating results, and recommending procedural changes. It also entails managing technical equipment and personnel, operating with a high degree of independence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software tools for infrastructure inspection, defect quantification, 3D visualization, and data management.
• Implement and evaluate computer vision and machine learning algorithms for infrastructure assessment.
• Support secure software deployment, cybersecurity compliance, system security documentation, testing, and evaluation in accordance with applicable government requirements.
• Collaborate with research personnel and external partners, including participation in biweekly in-person project meetings.
• Prepare technical reports, research publications, and project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advanced professional discipline or the highest level of general business knowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directly job-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
• No experience is required.
