Position Details: P/T Bailiff

Essential Duties

• May call witnesses to the stand and present the oath before witnesses take the stand.
• May provide administrative support to judges and jurors by stocking courtroom supplies, delivering court documents, and taking custody of offenders, filling out all required paperwork and booking offenders into the Detention Center.

Requirements

• Current/valid Texas Peace Officer’s License.
• Pass oral interview board.
• Pass psychological interview furnished by the department.
• Pass medical and UA screening furnished by the department.
• Possession of Texas Driver’s License and Social Security Card valid for employment.
• US Citizen.
• Criminal background check.
• Prior Military must provide a DD214 form (honorable discharge).
