Position Details: MOSQUITO CONTROL DRIVER/SPRAYER

Essential Duties/Examples Of Work

• Drive assigned spray routes
• Operate sprayer
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, motors, and pumps
• Use high pressure wash to remove chemical residue from equipment

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of: mosquito and pest control procedures and techniques; and area geography.
• Skills/Ability to: safely handle hazardous chemicals; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other county employees and the general public; tolerate outside working conditions including exposure to adverse weather conditions; and maintain appropriate necessary certifications, possess valid Texas driver's license applicable to job responsibilities and good driving record.

Acceptable Experience And Training

• High school graduation, or its equivalent
• Sufficient education to read and write, plus at least one year of related experience
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Certificates And Licenses Required

• Appropriate Texas driver's license
