About the role
The Portfolio & Wealth Advisor supports the team's relationship management efforts, investment coordination, and financial planning. This role involves client-facing interactions, proactive problem-solving, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Nurture and deepen strong rapport with clients to win confidence, establish mutual trust, and gain intimate knowledge of their lives to anticipate needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor, proactively identifying, communicating, and solving clients' questions.
- Leverage internal and external resources on behalf of clients; steer client needs through the organization and partner with external contacts as needed.
- Own projects related to existing and prospective client relationships, including onboarding and transition management.
- Develop an overall investment strategy based on the client's risk/reward profile, objectives, and tax status; determine appropriate asset allocation and portfolio construction; and advise on concentrated stock positions, low-cost basis holdings, and potential diversification strategies.
- Stay informed about market shifts, new investment opportunities, statutory requirements, tax laws, etc., and communicate these to clients.
- Leverage and coordinate specialists and advisors to provide interdisciplinary expertise for client needs.
- Advise families on integrated financial, tax, and estate planning strategies, including structuring wealth transition and legacy frameworks to preserve capital, optimize tax efficiency, and align long-term family governance with philanthropic and succession objectives.
- Own and execute projects and logistics related to client portfolios, including all areas of the client's wealth profile across investment management, wealth transfer, tax planning, insurance, and consolidated reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Extensive experience working with ultra high-net-worth clients on investment and wealth management goals.
- Strong communication skills and experience being the trusted advisor to clients.
- Working knowledge of capital markets and a detailed understanding of alternative investment strategies.
- Strong business development skills, including experience building relationships with prospective high-net-worth clients to identify their needs and successfully transition them into the firm.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and become an integral part of existing client relationship teams.
- Highly motivated, extremely ethical, and professionally mature.
- Analytical thinking, strong communication skills, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and resourcefulness.
- Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a self-starter.
- Experience with performance reporting and portfolio analysis (Addepar preferred).
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM skills (Salesforce preferred).
- Eagerness to integrate emerging technologies (AI) to gain efficiencies in workflows.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional designations such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Experience in wealth management, investment banking, or related fields.
Skills

- Proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysis tools.
- Knowledge of wealth management software and platforms.
Benefits
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance the total health and well-being of our employees. This includes a competitive base salary range of approximately $175,000-225,000 USD, along with various factors contributing to actual base compensation. The package also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
