About the role

This position’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of portfolio management for assigned portfolio loans, cross-selling of Bank products and services, and preparation of comprehensive Loan Offering Analyses. These analyses evaluate prospective financing properties, incorporating complex underwriting such as cash flow analysis, project economics, valuation, guarantor analysis, market analysis, and recommendations. The role involves both commercial loans and commercial permanent owner-occupied mortgages, as well as commercial construction and commercial permanent mortgages. This is the more experienced role within the job family.

Responsibilities

  • Perform portfolio management responsibilities, including:
    • Solicit existing portfolio customers to increase and retain loan volume and cross-sell Bank products and services.
    • Negotiate transactions and prepare Loan Offering Analyses for renewals, modifications, and new business; facilitate transaction closings.
    • Monitor delinquency control.
    • Prepare annual reviews of existing loans to assess credit quality and covenant compliance; perform property inspections.
    • Promote and maintain customer relations.
  • Prepare Loan Offering Analyses, including:
    • Detailed property descriptions and market analysis.
    • Detailed analysis of financial statements.
    • Project economics, income and expense analysis, tenancy analysis, property valuations, and discounted cash flow models.
    • Construction budget analysis with determination of sources and uses of funds.
    • Borrower and guarantor analysis.
    • Assess lending risks, identify offsetting mitigants, and summarize recommendations.
  • Complete special projects as directed by the department head.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Five or more years of experience within the financial industry.
  • Comprehensive financial analysis experience.
  • Comprehensive loan analysis experience in the respective discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Argus), financial analysis programs, and discounted cash flow models.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Working Conditions

  • Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (e.g., printer paper, storage boxes).
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (e.g., storing files or boxes).
  • The hazards are typical of a normal office setting.

Pay

$99,400 - $142,000 annually. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. This role is incentive-eligible based on company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
