Portfolio Manager

Essential Duties

• Evaluate, underwrite and assist with closing commercial loans, construction loans and owner-occupied commercial real estate loans
• Analyze loan data on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, agent banks, borrowers and Bank credit files
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for loan officers on new, renewal and existing loans
• Perform credit inquiries for the Bank as requested
• Establish, review and update new and existing credit files on a regular basis
• Provide technical advice and assistance to Lender as needed
• Work with Lender on proposals
• Prepare loan approval presentations and annual financial statement reviews
• Work with Loan Operations and/or attorneys to generate and review (for accuracy) documents and coordinate loan closings

Management of Client Relationships

• Negotiate loan extensions and renewals
• Respond to client inquiries
• Request and review updated financial and operating information
• Confirm or recommend loan grade changes based on analysis performed
• Covenant compliance testing
• Update loan files
• Absorb responsibility for resolving client issues
• Fund draw requests
• Work with Treasury Management to meet the clients' cash management needs
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting and Loan Policy guidelines
• Monitor and address past due loans and overdrawn deposit accounts

Additional Departmental Duties

• Attend department meetings
• Attend Management Loan Committee and Director's Loan Committee meetings
• Attend Bank Officer meetings
• Review information on market trends in commercial lending
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting and Loan Policy guidelines
• Attend training as required
• Participation in CRA activities
• Participation in networking events
