Portfolio Manager

About the role

Our client is a growing, billion-dollar bank located in a growing area of Kansas and is looking to add a Portfolio Manager to their team. This individual will support loan officers in two different markets and work alongside two other portfolio managers. The position will have a strong focus on commercial lending, with experience in C&I and CRE preferred; an ag lending background would also be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support loan officers in two different markets and work alongside two other portfolio managers.
• Work closely with lenders to help prepare and manage their portfolios, with responsibilities tailored to each lender’s needs.
• Gather and input financial information.
• Assist with credit analysis.
• Prepare credit for loan committee.
• Complete credit memos.
• Take calls from borrowers as needed.
• Help ensure the bank has current insurance, titles, and other required documentation.
• Perform ongoing portfolio monitoring, including tracking exceptions, maturities, risk ratings, and financial statement requirements.

Requirements

• Seasoned credit background with understanding of commercial credits.
• Ability to work independently while partnering closely with lenders.
• Experience in C&I lending preferred.
• Experience in CRE lending preferred.
• Agricultural lending background helpful.
