Portfolio Management Team Lead

Role Overview: The Portfolio Management Team Lead is an experienced commercial lending professional responsible for leading a team of Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts. They directly contribute to the management of a loan portfolio by participating in loan structuring, underwriting, origination, and portfolio oversight. Key Responsibilities Lead analysis, underwriting, origination, and portfolio management activities.Apply risk assessment, loan structuring, and credit policy expertise.Manage complex borrower relationships, including C&I and CRE clients.Collaborate with Relationship Managers to identify client needs and develop lending proposals.Oversee post-approval due diligence and documentation processes.Maintain portfolio quality, credit standards, and performance metrics.Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development of team members.Conduct regular portfolio reviews, lead team meetings, and monitor workflow to meet production standards.Ensure effective collaboration between Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts, delegating tasks appropriately. Qualifications & Skills 6-8 years of commercial underwriting and portfolio management experience.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Strong ability to analyze financial reports, legal documents, and perform complex calculations.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
