About Your Role
As a Portfolio Engineer at Bridgewater, you will play a crucial role in transforming investment strategies into executable portfolios that influence market movements. Your responsibilities include architecting portfolio systems, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring that every position aligns with our strategic insights. You will also be responsible for designing and enforcing standards for portfolio construction, risk control, and trade generation, while visualizing and industrializing workflows to support scaling portfolio management processes.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in engineering, data science, or a quantitative investment environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for using technology to address high-stakes challenges
- Fluent in programming and adept at reasoning through complex systems
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both engineers and investors
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and energized by interdisciplinary collaboration

Physical Requirements
The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our New York City campus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range: $225,000 - $450,000, with an expected base salary of 60% - 75% of the wage range
