About the role

The Portfolio Analytics Senior Associate plays a crucial role in enhancing operational effectiveness and efficiency through the use of technology-based solutions. This position focuses on streamlining processes, enabling insightful program-level reporting, and supporting risk reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine data cleansing/pre-processing and automate data transformation processes.
  • Maintain BPF’s proprietary portfolio monitoring database and assess data quality & integrity continuously.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret financial data to uncover trends within large/complex data sets.
  • Identify process improvement solutions and support the development of predictive analytic capabilities.
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources – both internal and external – and reconcile discrepancies to ensure sound data quality.
  • Produce (and automate where possible) regularly scheduled and ad-hoc management reports to enable decision-making.
  • Support technology/automation initiatives to drive streamlined integration with borrowers, internal partners, and third-party vendors.
  • Participate in internal controls activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (business and/or data science/analytics related) with 2 - 4 years of experience in data management within a financial context; solid financial acumen.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analysis or reporting.
  • Experience with data visualization tools & best practices (hands on experience with PowerBi or Tableau preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with analytic tools and programming languages (Python/R, and SQL with VBA a plus).
  • Excellent command and proficiency of MS excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, well-organized, self-starter, and able to multitask and deliver work products on short timeframes.
  • Willingness to learn and absorb complex lending structures and legal documents and translate economic and risk factors to financial models and tools used to manage the overall portfolio.
  • Experience with synthesizing and visualizing data for presentations.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Control focused and attentive to detail.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Prior experience in investment reporting and analysis within private credit highly preferred.
  • Experience working with at least one alternative asset class and a good understanding of the risks and operations of others across the alternative investment landscape.

Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $90,000-105,000 and additional incentive compensation.
